| 1. | O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by; Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light; The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight. |
1. | あぁ、ベツレヘムの小さな町よ、 そのたたずまいを見るとき、何と静かなのでしょう。 町が深く熟睡するその上を静かに星が過ぎて行きます。 まだ暗いその街に、永遠の光が輝く。 すべての年の希望と恐れが、今夜、この町で出会うのです。 |
